To address the DD v. KK debate: I eat donuts for the sugar content, so I'm a big KK fan. I'll eat DD only because I have no choice, but they can't quite match the KK sensation. (When I moved to Boston in 1991, I was astounded by the DD's on every corner...literally! It was surreal.)
Can't even get KK's here in NYC anymore after the whole carb conscience crap a few years ago and then the ban on trans fats. Sure I don't mind healthy. But I'm not eating donuts, chips, and McDonald's fries (though not often) for health reasons. And the lack of trans fats has changed the taste considerably, and I doubt has helped my health in the least!
As for the image above, with my family history, you might as well put me in a pine box and be done with it. LOL Then again, I'm not a fan of mixing my sugar and salt.
Yet another reason that Krispy Kremes are inferior. And greasier. Excuse me, I think I have to go throw up.
